A new word for me. I saw it for the first time today in the sentence, “They’ve been spruiking that theory from day one”, in reference to the Economy vs Humanity Covid-19 debate. I will use this with abandon. In Trump’s case, it’s about as onomatopoeic as it gets. I can imagine him spruiking his muck everywhere.
